Kinderland Cambodia proudly celebrated Literacy Day with creative activities that inspired young learners to enjoy reading and acquire the language. Each class took part in meaningful, hands-on projects that made literacy an exciting and lasting experience.

Pre-Nursery students created name frames by sticking on the letters of their names.
Our pre-nursery students made their own “Name Frames” by picking the letters of their names to stick onto the frames. They decorated their frames with bright colours and proudly added their photos, making letter recognition personal and intentional.

Nursery students brought the Little Mermaid story to life by creating bottles filled with colourful sea creatures.

K1 students used their handmade binoculars to play “I-Spy” and practiced initial letter sounds.
The Nursery class created a “Sensory Storytime Bottle” craft. After listening to a story, the children cut out characters from the tale and placed them inside clear bottles filled with sensory materials. This not only reinforced story recall but also gave them a tactile and visual reminder of what they had heard.
Our energetic Kindergarten One (K1) learners dived into the “I Spy with My Binoculars” activity. They crafted and decorated their own binoculars, then set out on a mission to find items that started with a specific letter. This fun treasure hunt sharpened their observation skills while boosting their letter-sound recognition.

K2 students went on a letter hunt to complete the words.
Meanwhile, the Kindergarten Two (K2) students took part in an exciting “Letter Hunt”. They searched for letters hidden around the playground and pieced them together to spell the word that matched the picture they were given. This challenged their problem-solving skills and reinforced spelling in an interactive way.
Literacy Day at Kinderland Cambodia was a vibrant celebration of joyful exploration and language acquisition! Through engaging, hands-on experiences, our little learners delved into letters and words, building a strong foundation for a lasting passion for reading and learning.
