On 22nd February 2021, The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport Cambodia has decided to impose school closures to curb the transmissions of Covid-19 in the community. The school closure immediately affected many children’s learning across the country, including children in Kinderland International Preschool @ Phnom Penh Cambodia.
In the midst of this on-going closure, Kinderland’s main concern is to ensure that our children can continue their learning and are not be lacking in terms of their education progress. Traditional face-to-face teaching was replaced by online learning during this pandemic. Online learning have become the new norm for our preschool.

Teachers are always engaging children during online learning
During the long period of centre closure, our teachers applied the Kinderland Integrated Curriculum for the online lessons. Children continued their regular English classes, Chinese class, logical thinking, music- movements, as well as art and craft. Through online learning under the guidance of our teachers, children were able to develop language skills and enhance logical thinking. This exercise also trained their listening skills, boosted concentration and even made them more independent for the higher-level students. Furthermore, online learning also allows children to explore technology and its concepts.

School suspended, but my learning still going.

Kinderland teachers played a vital role in supporting our children’s online learning. Teachers’ guidance, encouragement, dedication, motivations and efforts are important to help stimulate a child’s learning and experience, even via online teaching. Children can continue to build a strong foundation for emotional and physical development under our teachers’ nurturing guidance.

Heartfelt thank you to all our supportive parents for their time spent, partnership, patience, energy, efforts and hard work in engaging our child’s online learning. We hope the pandemic situation will improve and schools may reopen. Together, let’s work for the best, stay healthy and stay safe, everyone!
