On 24th April 2026, Kinderland joyously celebrated World Art Day, transforming the day into a vibrant homage to creativity and imagination. The event began with a collaborative masterpiece, the “Handprint Tree of Creativity”. This large poster featured the colourful handprints of each child, symbolising the belief that “every child is an artist”. This dynamic artwork stood as a testament to the boundless potential within each young creator.

Following this inspiring start, the children embarked on a journey through the world of renowned artists, engaging in a series of delightful and educational art activities. The youngest artists, the pre-nursery children, dived into the world of Wassily Kandinsky, crafting their renditions of his iconic circle art. Their joyful exploration of colours and shapes brought Kandinsky’s abstract vision to life.

Nursery children turned their attention to Vincent van Gogh, painting their versions of “Starry Night” on foil. Their shimmering artworks captured the swirling energy and emotion of Van Gogh’s masterpiece, offering a fresh perspective on the famous night sky.

Kindergarten One (K1)children channelled the spirit of Pablo Picasso, using playdough to create imaginative faces inspired by his Cubist style. These playful and inventive creations demonstrated the children’s ability to see the world through new and unconventional lenses.

Kindergarten Two (K2) took on the challenge of reinventing Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” as a pop art piece. This bold reinterpretation infused the classics with vibrant colours and modern flair, showcasing the children’s ability to blend tradition with innovation.
