Kinderland Cambodia marked World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 with a series of engaging activities designed to ignite a passion for environmental awareness while encouraging creativity among children. Aligning with this year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future”, children discovered how small everyday actions can make a meaningful difference to the environment.
To support the day’s activities, children brought recyclable materials from home to use in their classroom projects, learning how everyday items can be creatively repurposed. Through these hands-on experiences, they developed a deeper appreciation for sustainability, while strengthening their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Kindergarten 2 children created a “Trash to Treasure” ocean display featuring sea turtles, jellyfish and other marine creatures made from recycled materials. Through this project, they learnt about the detrimental effects of pollution on marine ecosystems and the significance of protecting our oceans.
These activities allowed children to explore the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in a fun and age-appropriate manner. More importantly, they developed a deeper appreciation of how everyday choices can help protect the environment.
At Kinderland, we believe that nurturing environmental responsibility begins from an early age. By encouraging curiosity, creativity and care for the natural world, we empower children to become thoughtful and responsible individuals who are inspired to help build a more sustainable future.
