On 3 August 2026, Kinderland International Preschool @Cambodia warmly welcomed children back to school for a new academic year. The school was filled with smiles and laughter as new and returning children reunited with their teachers and friends.

To help the children settle into their classrooms, and to familiarise themselves with one another, they took part in a series of hands-on craft activities that encouraged creativity, self-expression and collaboration.
Our little learners celebrate the new school year in their creative Back to School hats.
The children began by creating personalised Back to School hats, which they proudly decorated and wore throughout the day. The activity gave them an opportunity to express their creativity while creating a sense of excitement as they started the new school year together.

The children also created colourful 3D pencil crafts by rolling, gluing and assembling the different parts of their designs. This hands-on activity encouraged them to practise their fine motor skills while developing patience and concentration.

Another popular activity was a yarn hair craft, where the children used colourful strands of yarn to create imaginative hairstyles on face templates. As they shared their designs with their classmates, the activty encouraged communication and social interaction.
Young learners proudly showcase their colourful self-portraits, expressing their creativity and individuality through their Vernaculars activity.
The children also took part in a self-portrait activity that incorporated their vernaculars into their creative artwork. Using colourful paper collages and cardboard elements, they created playful three-dimensional self-portraits. The activity encouraged them to express their individuality while exploring different ways to represent themselves through art.
Throughout the day, the children participated enthusiastically in the activities, learning through play, creativity and hands-on experiences. At Kinderland International Preschool @ Cambodia, we look forward to another year of learning and discovery, as our children continue to explore their interests, build new friendships and enjoy their learning journey with us.
