Kinderland International Preschool @ Cambodia celebrated International Literacy Day with a fun and engaging series of activities designed to foster a love of language, literacy and learning. Through interactive experiences across four learning stations, children had opportunities to develop their communication, thinking and problem-solving skills while discovering new ways to learn.

The celebration began at the Language Room, where children participated in English, Khmer and Chinese language activities. Through letter recognition, matching exercises and other hands-on activities, they strengthened their understanding of different letters and characters. The activities also provided children with opportunities to build confidence in recognising letters and making connections between sounds and symbols.

At the Mathematics Room, children explored numbers in English, Chinese and Khmer. Through engaging games and activities, they practised number recognition and developed their counting skills in different languages. The activities helped children recognise how numbers can be represented in different forms while reinforcing their mathematical understanding.

At the Science Room, children took part in a Magic Turmeric Art Experiment. Following a step-by-step process, they eagerly observed as hidden pictures, letters and numbers were gradually revealed. This activity encouraged observation, curiosity and the ability to follow instructions.

The final station was the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Room, where children joined Robo Mouse on an exciting adventure. Using clues from a story, they guided Robo Mouse to different destinations by planning and selecting the correct routes. This activity encoouraged logical thinking, sequencing skills and teamwork.

Through these meaningful experiences, Kinderland International Preschool @ Cambodia marked International Literacy Day by encouraging children to explore language and learning in engaging and interactive ways.
