Kinderland International Preschool @ Cambodia brought books and stories to life through StoryFest, a colourful celebration of reading, imagination and creativity. Children arrived dressed as their favourite storybook characters, filling the preschool with excitement as they stepped into the world of books and storks and storytelling.
Through storytelling and hands-on activities, teachers encouraged children to discover the joy of reading and explore how stories can spark imagination, introduce new ideas and make learning fun. Each class explored a selected book through storytelling sessions and engaging activities, which extended learning beyond the story.

Pre-Nursery children explored “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” through an engaging storytelling session featuring a colourful 3D animal display. They identified different animals and joined in with the story’s repetitive phrases before creating their own bear models using paper plates, encouraging creativity and developing fine motor skills.

Nursery children explored “Dear Zoo” through an interactive flashlight storytelling activity, using light to uncover and identify animals from the story. They then created their own zoo scenes using animal pictures, paper plates and colourful thread, giving them opportunities to express their creativity and imagination.

Kindergarten 1 (K1) children listened to “I Don’t Like My Shell”, a story that encouraged them to appreciate individuality and recognise what makes each person unique. Inspired by the story, the children created tortoises using play dough and pebbles, strengthening their concentration and fine motor skills.

Kindergarten 2 (K2) children enjoyed “The Elves and the Shoemaker” and took part in a shoe-lacing activity using printed templates. They also created their own elf crowns, adding a creative element to their exploration of the story. At StoryFest, stories became a starting point for children to explore, create and learn. Through experiences such as these, Kinderland Internatiional Preschool @ Cambodia continues to nurture children’s curiosity, imagination and love of learning.
