On 14 March 2025, Kinderland International Preschool @ Toul Kork, Cambodia, celebrated International Mathematics Day with an exciting array of S.T.E.A.M. activities designed to inspire ingenuity and enhance learning. The event brought together science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) in a cohesive experience that engaged the children.
The children proudly displayed their sticker rewards after engaging in the fun and educational S.T.E.A.M activities.
The Kindergarten children journeyed through themed rooms, earning stickers by completing various hands-on activities. In the science room, students explored capillary action with the “Walking Water Experiment”, sparking curiosity and creativity. It also deepened their understanding of how water moves through different materials.
In the technology room, the children interacted with Colby, the robot mouse, where they delved into programming and robotics. They watched Colby navigate mazes through their given commands, reinforcing their grasp of sequencing and logic while highlighting the significance of technology in today’s world.
The engineering room offered a platform for innovation, as children built figures using manipulatives. This challenge heightened their problem-solving abilities and also promoted teamwork as they explored design and balance.

In the arts room, children expressed their imagination by creating with geometric shapes, showcasing the beautiful intersection of mathematics and art. This activity helped them appreciate the precision and aesthetic aspects of both fields.

The day culminated in the Mathematics room with a friendly “Math Olympiad Game”, where children could apply their math skills in a lively, interactive environment. This game reinforced their learning in a fun way while promoting healthy competition among peers.
Through these engaging activities, Kinderland Cambodia successfully celebrated International Mathematics Day, inspiring students to recognise the connections between S.T.E.A.M. disciplines and igniting a passion for learning that extends well beyond the classroom.
