On 6th March, Kinderland Toul Kork, Cambodia, celebrated World Wildlife Day with engaging activities that helped our young learners understand the importance of caring for animals and protecting nature. Each class participated in creative, hands-on projects that made learning about wildlife meaningful and enjoyable while sparking curiosity about the natural world.

The Pre-Nursery children brought their elephant masterpieces to life!

Our Pre-Nursery children created elephants using balloons. They carefully attached balloons to paper to form an elephant’s face and trunk, then added ears and eyes to complete their artwork. The children were delighted to see how a simple balloon could transform into an elephant, making the activity a fun and gentle introduction to wild animals.

Nursery children proudly shared their “Save Wildlife” class artwork.

The nursery class explored the theme of saving wildlife through a hand-printing activity. Using paint, the children turned their handprints into different animals. As they worked, the teachers explained the importance of being kind to animals and protecting their natural homes. The activity was engaging and spurred the children to be creative as they took pride in their colourful animal artwork.

Kindergarten One children had fun crafting lions alongside their teacher.

In Kindergarten One (K1), the children created lion art craft by twirling long strips of paper to create the mane. They carefully rolled the strips and glued them around the lion’s face, adding texture and detail to their artwork. This activity strengthened their fine motor skills while helping them learn more about wild animals.

Our Kindergarten Two children proudly presented their unique animal creations crafted from dried leaves.

The Kindergarten Two (K2) children designed animal artpieces using dried leaves, arranging them into various shapes to create imaginative animal figures. This activity connected art with nature and encouraged children to appreciate the items found in their surroundings.
Celebrating World Wildlife Day helps children develop empathy and respect for animals and nature. By learning about wildlife from a young age, they begin to understand the importance of protecting the environment and caring for the planet we all share. 🌿🐘
